One of the greatest assets of the neighborhood are the parks, which offer a variety of land and water activities and are a natural habitat for sea birds and other wild life:


BAY VISTA PARK: Pinellas Point Drive/4th St. S
5.3 acres active waterfront park on the shores of Tampa Bay with spectacular views of the Skyway Bridge.
Picnic tables and shelters, playground equipment, boat ramps, pier, fishing and community center.

 

PINELLAS POINT TEMPLE MOUND : Pinellas Point Drive S/ Mound Place S


This Temple Mound was established by the culture who inhabited the area around year 600.

It was declared an Historical and Archaeological site in March 2003. GPPCA is working on its preservation together with City Departmenta, the State archaeologist and representatives of AIN (American Indian Nation)

FOREST BUFF: 4th St. S. /64th Ave. S.
6 acres of wilderness park where members of The Greater Pinellas Point Association planted nearly 200 trees
o maintain its character after removal of exotic vegetation.

 

LAKE VISTA PARK: 62nd Ave. S./16th St. S.
40.8 acres active park and the 2nd largest in the Neighborhood.
Swimming pool, tennis courts, playground equipment, ball field,
Picnic tables and shelters, par course, fitness trail, butterfly garden,
Skate Board ramp, Dog park and community center.

 

LITTLE BAYOU PARK: End of 55th Ave. S. East of 4th St. S.: 21 acres of wilderness adjacent to Little Bayou.

 

MAXIMO PARK: 34th St. S. and Pinellas Point Drive

60 acres waterfront park on the shores of Boca Ciega Bay and
Frenchman Creek. Playground equipment, picnic area and shelters,
boat ramps, public beach, fishing flats, disk golf. This park is the largest
in the neighborhood.

Waterfront park on Tampa Bay, stretching from 14th to2nd street St. S. on the southern tip of the “Pink Streets”.
