Update

The High & Dry and Marina are scheduled to open mid June 2007.

Construction of the Condo Towers are on hold undefinitively.

NAUTICO

The original plans for the re-development of the Huber Marina consisted of one condo building, townhouses extending over the water and providing boat docking space underneath, renovation of all docks, construction of a High and Dry building and a Club House. This plan was endorsed by the Association.

At our Nov 15 2005 General Meeting Mr. Raoul Quintano of Frank Maggio Properties presented a different plan for the development of Nautico. The new plan included three condo towers, two15 stories and one 18 stories high. Questions were raised regarding the changes from town houses to condo towers. Mr. Quintano stated that the plan had already been approved by the City since it didn’t change the density previously approved by the Association. Construction was scheduled to start in January 2006.

Mr. Frank Maggio and Mr. Raoul Quintano came to our Aug 2006 General Meeting to review developments at Nautico and presented a plan for the adjacent Springlake/Edgewater property (Nautico 2.)
The construction of the Nautico condominium towers had been put on hold. For the most part, the wet docks of the Marina had been rebuild and construction of a High and Dry building that would accommodate over 300 boats was planned to start early in 2007.

Site plans were presented for the proposed redevelopment of the Springlake/Edgewater property, south of Nautico. These included demolition of the Edgewater Apartments that would be replaced by two 7 stories condominiums buildings, possibly with commercial store fronts, building of wet docks in Spring Lake and creation of an access to the water in Nautico. The plan was approved by the Association and members were invited to visit the location.

Future developments will be posted in the Hot Topic section.
